Another 14-year-old has been charged with starting a forest fire in N.J.

A second 14-year-old boy has been charged with intentionally starting a forest fire in Evesham last month that grew to 52 acres before being contained, authorities said.
The teen, a resident of the Marlton section of Evesham, is charged with aggravated arson and causing or risking widespread injury or damage, township police said Wednesday.
Police charged a different 14-year-old from Marlton with the same offenses on Nov. 7. Neither has been identified because they are minors. Police are still investigating to see if anyone else was involved.
An investigation is also ongoing following a 375-acre wildfire in the same area that ignited on Nov. 7. No one has been charged in connection with that fire and authorities haven’t ruled out that the two fires are connected.
The boys started the Oct. 30 fire at about 1 p.m. in the area near Sycamore Drive and the Berlin Township border, according to police. No homes were damaged and the fire was brought under control several days later.
Anyone with information regarding the fires is asked to call the Evesham police at 856-983-1116 or the confidential tip line at 856-983-4699. Email tips can be sent to [email protected].
