Just In!! Gorgeous Polished Ebony Yamaha G5 6'6" Grand piano. Originally purchased new in 1984 this G5 other than some minor cosmetic differences is very similar to Yamaha's current C5X. The G series was discontinued in the early 1990's just due to declining sales in pianos. Yamaha used to have the "G" series and "C" series as well as hand built "S" series. The C3 and C5 to C7 are pianos designed for "commercial" use. As in a studio or practice for students where the piano would get 8 hour heavy use every day. They are built with heavier plate so the would stay in tune better. The "G" series shares most of the same parts and exactly the same build quality main difference is the iron plate is not as heavy. IN the "C" series the pianos are built more for abuse than general home use so if you are looking for a nice sized piano with a big bass the G5 is priced well below the C5 but you get very
