PIANO ORDERED BY DISNEY-SPECIAL EDITION !  We have just completed an extensive reconditioning of this exquisite piano . This Schimmel 5’8” Model 175 Grand Piano has a beautiful rich, dark sound, quite similar to that of a Hamburg Steinway. This piano is a perfect example of why German piano companies have earned their well-deserved reputation for building some of the best pianos is the world. The scale design, quality of materials and construction, and precision fit, and finish of the case, plate, and action are of the highest degree.
The tone of this piano is remarkable; full rich bass, well balanced in all registers, and great sustain.  It is also quite powerful, more like a 6’ grand, and is a true pleasure to play upon and to listen to. The replacement of the key bushings and regulation of the action has restored the very responsive medium touch of this piano to like new condition.
This piano has received a complete and thorough restoration of the action using brand new Renner action parts including new hammers, shanks, and flanges; the strings replaced with high-quality Mapes strings.
The following work was performed:
Installed new felts, hammers, shanks, and flanges
Restrung with new high quality Mapes strings
Replaced key bushings and felts
Voiced the hammers and regulated the action
Cleaned, detailed, and retouched interior of case and plate
Buffed and polished case, lid, and all brass parts
Schimmel continues to manufacture a model 170, (currently the K170), which lists for MSRP= 8,600.
