    Description

    Collins Radio tuning stub, precision position mechanism
    brass with silver plating
    This is a precision tuning stub designed for UHF cavities made by Collins Radio. It is silver plated brass with conductive finger stock at the slip joint. Can also be used as a precision positioning mechanism. Has 1/4" adjustment shaft. It takes 30 turns to go from the minimum length of 10 inches to the maximum length of 16.75 inches, or about 4.5 turns per inch.
    The sleeve is really great as a position/vibration stabilizing element, it will slide off if not desired. You do need to temporarily remove it for the purposes of installation as it will not clear the internal cylinder's mounting hole.
