    History of Pramberger:
The Pramberger family’s history of piano craftsmanship dates back to the late 1700s in the Black Forest of Germany. Johann Pramberger began making pianos in Vienna, Austria, the Music Center of the World. It was an era in history where every aspect of creating a piano was an art of earned skill and personal craftsmanship. In today’s modern instruments, the same core values still hold true. Joseph Pramberger blends Old World craftsmanship, passed down through his family for seven generations, with state-of-the-art technology at Young Chang to create World Class musical instruments. In 1995 Pramberger joined the Young Chang Piano Company. In 2000 the Pramberger JP175 Platinum Edition World-Class Grand Piano was introduced. After Pramberger's death in 2004, the Pramberger brand was sold to Samick. Unfortunately for Samick, Joseph Pramberger's piano scale designs and technical information remained with the Young Chang Piano Company. Samick also does not make the Bubinga wood.
About this piano: It has a special Kewazinga Bubinga wood finish that is extremely rare. Kewazinga Bubinga is a very large West African timber with many of the same characteristics as rosewood. Distinguished by its red color streaked with dark purple and its conspicuous pores, this type of wood finish is highly valued for architectural and design woodwork and fine cabinetry.
