    Description

Offered for sale is the intriguing English Kensington Earthenware Pitcher of baluster form with wide handle. The marbleized pattern is sometimes referred to as agateware or scoddled.
There is something "spooky" about it; I think it's an amazing piece to incorporate in your fall and Halloween seasonal decor.
It's difficult to see (a black stamp on dark brown clay), but the pitcher is marked on the bottom with the Kensington knot strands and the initials KPB for Burslem. T
This gives a good clue as to when it was produced - sometime between 1937 and 1963.
Production for this company moved from Hanley in 1937 to the Longport location.  At that time the initials in the knots changed from KPH to KPB. In late1961, Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd and Kensington Pottery Ltd. were amalgamated as Price & Kensington Potteries Ltd. They continued to use the knot/KPB logo up until 1963.
Size: - 6 1/2" High - 4 3/4" Wide at the widest point on the body (not including the handle)
Condition: - Very Good - There are no cracks the pitcher, though I noticed a small chip to the surface glaze on the handle (see the last photo.) A little surface scratches on the base and a tiny bit of crazing on the interior, but the glaze is very shiny. T
he cream/mocha brown coloring was a hard to capture. The pitcher of the base of the pitcher (as I see it on my computer) is the most accurate to real life.
    A great piece!
This will ship either USPS Priority or FedEx Home Delivery carefully wrapped and packed in a double box.
10% of the final sale price will be donated to Feeding America. Every bit helps during this especially difficult time!
