    Description

Mason & Hamlin Model A grands have for over a century been enduringly popular and beloved worldwide, consistently considered as
some of the musically finest grand pianos once can find under 6' long.
Model A grands are built very powerfully, providing excellent durability and tone projection combined with an exceptionally perceptive, crisp and energetic action feel. This Mason & Hamlin grand made in 1979 delivers serious musical value, beautiful traditional aesthetics, and gorgeous, detailed, lively sound.
This beautiful vintage Mason & Hamlin Grand Piano is a testament to the very finest of American piano manufacturing. Using only the best materials and time-tested methods of production, Mason & Hamlin have maintained their reputation for musical excellence for well over a hundred years. This robust, gorgeous Model A Grand Piano is emblematic of the dedication to musicality that Mason & Hamlin is known for.
The tone is full, present, and pristine. The sound brimming with richness and elegance: highly resonant with a resoundingly powerful bass range. The color change with the soft pedal is especially prominent, changing the generally bold tone into a wonderfully mellifluous color.
The keys have a wonderful sense of physical touch that allows for incredible expression. The overall action feel generally falls on the light weight side, but not enough to compromise any sense of accuracy and precision. Truly robust and nuanced, this Mason & Hamlin is adaptable to any style of music.
Our team of technicians are happy to work with you on voicing preferences so this piano can be everything you need in an instrument! This piano is an absolute joy to play whether you are a beginning pianist or an advanced musician.

You can trust us to handle all your needs seamlessly!
    FREE Group Beginning Piano Classes
    – FREE tuition for 4 with every piano rented or purchased. Small classes, one hour per week, usually 6-7 pm, with semesters starting every January, March, June, and September. Intended for beginning (or rusty) teens and adults, but younger children can also enroll provided they are engaged and accompanied by an adult. We also offer these classes online/video for your convenience.
    FREE & Discounted In-Home Tunings
    – Family Piano's expert technicians tune the piano right before it goes out, so most customers wait 2-5 months until redeeming their free in-home tuning. Rental pianos are tuned a year after delivery, and each year as part of your rent, if in our service area. Afterwards, we will take off each regular tuning that we do for you, as long as you own the piano in our large service area.
