Mason & Hamlin BB Semi-Concert Grand Piano  7’ - In Extraordinary Good Condition!
Made in 1947, this high-quality instrument has been well-kept and well-maintained throughout its life.
This is for sale by the second owner, lovingly well-kept and maintained by them since around 1960. It still plays beautifully and sounds like only a Mason & Hamlin BB seven-footer from the Golden Era can.

I am a NYC piano tuner / technician with 24 years experience, managing the sale of this piano for the owner.
After recent cleaning, a thorough inspection and tuning, I can attest that this piano is in extraordinary well-kept original condition as described. I can answer any technical questions, speak with your tuner/tech if possible, or provide more detailed photographs. Piano can be viewed by appointment.
The instrument is almost completely Factory Original with the original Ebonized / Satin Black finish.
Exceptions appear to be:
- New hammer shank at Eb2.
- Hammer felt and Backchecks are in good condition, look and sound likely to be replacements from original, but in very good used condition, as is the rest of the piano.
Other action parts, wippens, dampers, damper levers, pedal mechanisms, etc, are in very good condition, all working evenly.
The tuning pins and pin block are still tight and hold a fine tuning, throughout.
Strings still have clear tone and tune to very good unisons, octaves, double octaves, etc.
Ivory and Ebony keys are in excellent condition, key buttons and key bushings are all very good.
The piano was recently cleaned inside and out, and it was tuned to A440.
Inspection of the soundboard at first glance, there were no obvious cracks, but closer inspection revealed minor hairlines, with no effect on the soundboard function.
Bridges, down bearing, plate, bracing, and the exclusive Mason & Hamlin Tension Resonator are all very good.
Sound is even throughout the range, no dead spots or loss of dynamic range.
Included in the purchase is a matching bench, in similar condition and vintage.
