Knabe Ampico Player Grand Piano circa 1920s.
The piano itself has been rebuilt in the past, probably about 20ish years ago. New pinblock, strings damper felts, refinished soundboard and plate. This work would sell for roughly ,000 today.
The action was regulated and reconditioned, still working nicely. This work would be 00 today.
The player system is no longer working. It needs to be rebuilt, removed or replaced with a digital system. The Ampico system does not effect the playing or serviceability of the piano action at all. This makes a good serviceable functional instrument with or without the player system.
The piano was refinished but is showing signs of sun bleaching and wear.
I am downsizing or I would be asking much more for this piano. Perfect for someone who would like to tackle restoration on the player while having the piano itself in good working order.
