Charming and wonderful hand painted transferware plate, c. 1900, from the genre of rabbit ware plates .
Rabbitware is a combination of transfer printing and stick sponge or spatterware.
These folk art plates are rare and hard to find.
The plate measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter and is painted with enamels in yellow, red, blue, brown and green.
Very good condition with no cracks or chips, some very small spots where glaze was raised or missed in manufacturing, commonly seen in these types of plate.
