Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Art Case Wm. Knabe Grand Piano.  A very rare opportunity to purchase an art case quarter sawn oak 6' 2" parlor grand piano made by Wm. Knabe from Baltimore in 1892. The serial number is 38094. This 130 year old piano has a hand carved quarter sawn oak art case which need refinishing, however the internals are in very good condition including all 88 ivory and ebony keys, soundboard, pin block and frame. The action was removed, cleaned, adjusted and reinstalled approx. 10 years ago and broken strings replaced and professionally tuned. This rare musical instrument includes a quarter sawn oak bench with hand made pad. The piano DOES NOT include a music desk but you can have one made if desired. This piano which I have had the pleasure of owning for over 10 years plays great and sounds fantastic for a 130 year old piano, a testament to the hand made American quality of Wm Knabe.
