This offer is for a lot of two, used, 1994-6 Republic of the
Marshall Islands
(RMI) covers that were sent to the State of
Washington
,
USA
. The covers contained advertisement material sent from the RMI for a variety of commemorative coin, first day covers, souvenir sheets & mint stamps for collectors. Although this lot of two covers suggests the advertisements were primarily for commemorative coins.
The covers were sent on behalf of Fleetwood based in
Cheyenne
,
WY
. The covers, with one stamp each, were both hand canceled and postmarked in July 1997.
The second cover shown, postmarked Jul 31, 1997, is a 1994 issued Whaling Ship Potomac 55c, Scott #457, scv= .10
The first cover shown postmarked JUL 10, 1997 is Ships type 1993, like Scott #444f , 32c, in a 1996 issued mini sheet. Scott catalog did not give a number for the minisheet.
Cover dimensions: 9½" x 4¼"
Condition: The covers are in overall very good condition. The corners show light wear. The edges are straight and smooth, as intended. Both covers were opened from the flap that appear to have been lightly sealed by the sender as there is still partial original gum on each flap. The reverse side of each cover shows evidence of the coding and marks from going through the USPS sorting machine. Otherwise, the covers do not have any stains, ink markings or discolorations.
