    Description

Impressive Flamenco Red color. Rear quarters and front fenders have been re-painted before current ownership. No rust anywhere! Starts instantly and was used as a daily driver for about 20,000 miles over a 3-year period. Overdue maintenance and numerous repairs were performed to bring this car to be a reliable (and once again) attractive Jaguar XJS. This car has been driven all over the state of Florida when used as my primary vehicle and I would not hesitate to drive it again on any long trip.
Interior upholstery and carpets are all very nice, all seat functions work, lighting, instruments, cabin functions are all good. Lovely to drive, excellent fuel economy and the in-line 4.0 liter six-cylinder engine is easy to maintain. The 1993 model year has a simple and reliable ignition system and reliable fuel injection system. The automatic 4-speed overdrive gearbox (with sport mode) is significantly better than the 3-speed non-overdrive unit used in the V-12 cars. The 4.0 engine cars are approximately 400 pounds lighter than the V-12 cars and have generally all-around better performance.
Car is fitted with rare Jaguar “dealer option” body moldings. Also has a 3.5mm stereo adapter jack fitted to play MP3 music through the original Jaguar stereo.

This 28 year old car looks and drives great but still has a few minor imperfections: Power radio antenna doesn’t not function. Rear window tint is peeling near center area. Hairline cracks in shellac on burled wood dash pieces (replacement kits available on-line). Cruise control not working. Clearcoat on right rear quarter is starting to fail but the Flamenco Red paint is “good” (a body shop can repair this without too much difficulty). A few rock chips on bonnet and two small “door dings” on passenger side door (see photos). The 15” Chrome wheels are from another Jaguar and are in "poor" condition. The Pirelli P-600 tires look like new but were fitted to these wheels in 2006 so should be replaced before any serious driving.
Photos of car were taken in the past few days and represent the car as-is.
